STRIA 03
STRIA 03 introduces texture as its primary design language. Two stacked drawers are faced in walnut veneer — or a walnut-effect finish — dressed with a vertical ribbed relief that catches light and adds tactile depth to an otherwise restrained silhouette. Slim horizontal metal pulls in matte black punctuate each drawer front with quiet precision. The cabinet sits on a recessed black plinth, grounding the piece and creating a clean visual separation from the floor. Presented in a matte white lacquer cabinet, STRIA 03 balances warmth and geometry — a considered bedside companion for contemporary residential and hospitality interiors.
Design Detail
The vertical ribbed texture of STRIA 03's drawer fronts is its defining gesture — a surface treatment that introduces rhythm and shadow without relying on colour or ornament. Applied to walnut veneer or a walnut-effect finish, the ribbing shifts in character depending on the quality and direction of light.
Slim matte black horizontal pulls sit flush against each drawer front, providing a precise counterpoint to the warmth of the wood-effect surface. The result is a piece that reads as both contemporary and considered.
Materials & Construction
STRIA 03 is proposed in an 18 mm MDF cabinet with a matte white lacquer finish. The two drawer fronts are specified in MDF with walnut veneer or a walnut-effect alternative, dressed with vertical ribbed detailing.
Concealed soft-close undermount runners are proposed for both drawers. The piece sits on a recessed black plinth of approximately 60 mm, creating a clean, grounded base that complements the cabinet's upright proportions.
Design Development
STRIA 03 is an original RALNOSPACE Design Studio furniture concept currently at the design concept stage. Technical development, including detailed drawings, component specifications, and prototype validation, is pending.
Final materials, finishes, hardware, and construction details are subject to prototype review and approval.
